After NBC realized the success of bringing back “Will & Grace,” they’ve turned their attention to another one of their long-running hit shows – “The Office.” The beloved cringe comedy full of well-developed characters who fans felt like they truly knew only ended back in 2013, but KENS 5 reports that the network will revive the series in 2018.

NBC says the show will still be based in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in the old offices of Dunder-Mifflin that fans will remember like the back of their hand. The network also mentioned that new and old cast members would fill out the seats in the famous office space. But who would return? As KENS 5 writes, Pam and Jim moved away, and of course, Michael had already left a couple of years prior to the end of the series, so it’s more obvious who won’t be coming back.

The Hollywood Reporter points out that “The Office” didn’t end with any stories left unfinished. Viewers were given a very satisfying and sweet finale. “Nothing in the way The Office ended said, ‘We’ve got more stories to tell in this world’ or ‘We’re gonna leave you dangling on this plot point’ or ‘Man, if only we’d had more time,'” they write. It will certainly be interesting to see what NBC’s writers have in store.
