In what is possibly the most Texas way to celebrate a victory, the newly crowned Miss Texas savored her victory with a trip to Whataburger.

20-year-old Alayah Benavidez, of San Antonio, won Miss Texas United States at a pageant in Richardson, Texas on May 29.

According to mysanantonio.com, Benavidez will compete in the Miss United States pageant in Las Vegas on Aug. 20.

Benavidez post-pageant diet included four delicious Whataburgers, a tray full of fries and onion rings, and a big Coke.

Because does it really get any more Texan than this? #TexasHumor #cheatmeal #whataburger #postpageantdiet #whatdiet

This isn’t the first time Benavidez has competed in a pageant. Her other titles include Miss San Antonio Texas Teen USA 2013, Greater Helotes Texas MS 2015, and Miss San Antonio United States 2016.
