Buc-ee’s has expanded by adding another megastore to its already popular franchise. Now open, the newest Buc-ee’s can be found off I-10 in Katy, TX. This is said to be the first one to open in a Houston suburb.

After a delay in its grand opening of August 28th due to Hurricane Harvey, the latest Buc-ee’s is in full swing. Having been a great resource to first responders and military during the height of the storm, Buc-ee’s in Katy allowed them to take over the Katy location while they were helping the surrounding communities.

“The 56,000 square-foot store will feature about 120 gas pumps and a 255-foot car wash, which could be the largest car wash in the world,” shared abc13.com. With an already loyal following of fans who can’t stop raving about its restrooms, this is sure to be a welcomed addition to brag about. That cute little beaver has been the superstar of many selfies across the state, and how many folks can admit they have a Buc-ee’s bumper sticker they proudly display.  Some even have a t-shirt for each member of their family to showcase. My friend Sergio and family could be the first family of Buc-ee’s as they have visited just about everyone around Texas.

Named one of the best rest stops by various media outlets, Buc-ee’s continues on its successful path of winning the hearts of Texans across the state. With its warm almonds, cashews or peanuts, it’s no wonder its a must stop along that Texas road trip. The variety of Icee’s to choose from is also a favorite of many Buc-ee’s fans.

“The business climate in the city of Katy has been very welcoming,” said Jeff Nadalo, Buc-ee’s general counsel. “It’s important for us to partner with local officials to successfully bring a new project to a new location,” shared abc13.com. They have been hard at work breaking ground and working around the clock interviewing folks and getting everything in place to welcome everyone.
