What happens when you mix a small, quaint Texas Hill Country village with an old fashioned, all-American day of celebration? You get the Bulverde Jubilee, located at The Old Village of Bulverde. The Village of Bulverde – which on a typical day is an eclectic artist-community with charm to spare – transforms into a vibrant festival for the Bulverde Jubilee. If you’re a fan of Americana sprinkled with some wild, wild west, then the Bulverde Jubilee just might be what you’ve been waiting for.

Celebrating its 17th year, the volunteer-organized Bulverde Jubilee will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. with the parade shortly thereafter at 11 a.m. With the perfect mix of marching bands, dancers, cheerleaders, and horses, the Bulverde Jubilee Parade harkens back to a simpler time and place.

After the parade winds down, the party begins. Live music will be provided by several different bands on three different stages and kids’ entertainment includes a petting zoo, an obstacle course, pony rides and much more. There’s something to keep everyone in the family entertained at the Jubilee. The Jubilee lasts through the afternoon with lots of food to sample, booths to shop at, and arts and crafts. Proceeds from this year’s Jubilee benefit the Bulverde/Spring Branch Activity Center.

The Old Village of Bulverde (located at 2355 Bulverde Road in Bulverde) is the site of a growing community of artists, handcrafters, antique and vintage merchants, and food and wine enthusiasts, conveniently located at the gateway to the Texas Hill Country on the 281 corridor. Unlike many other destinations, women artists and business owners make up the overwhelming majority of merchants in the Village, and they are committed to its growth and success in a way that preserves its history and unique community feel.
