This Grandfather is the Best Accessory to Same Wedding Dress

By  |

Harold is the best wedding accessory for a bride’s big day. His wife, daughter, and granddaughter have all worn the same wedding dress and have been escorted by him.

In 1953, his soon-to-be wife Phyllis bought a wedding dress from a department store and walked down the aisle with her father toward Harold in it. He then escorted his new wife back down the aisle and their life together began.

Keeping with tradition, Phyllis and Harold’s daughter Susan wore the same wedding dress 30 years later at her own wedding and added one more detail to Harold’s professional wedding resume of escorting brides down the aisle.

Now in 2016, his granddaughter Julia recently tied the knot wearing, you guessed it, the same wedding dress her mother and grandmother wore during their ceremonies. Because Julia’s father passed away in the 1990s, Harold once again stepped in to be the perfect accessory for his granddaughter making her way down the aisle.

While the dress has undergone slight changes through the years, the design has stayed essentially the same. Harold has become one incredible wedding accessory for each blushing bride in this family tradition that spans three generations.
