The Brownwood Paddle Trail is an almost four-mile loop trail that traverses Pecan Bayou. The bayou, located in an old pecan orchard, is lined with 100-year-old pecan trees and is home to tons of beautiful birds year-round. For the anglers in your life, the bayou houses both large and smallmouth bass, crappie and catfish. This beautiful bayou is slow-moving, so it’s perfect for even beginning canoers or kayakers. In fact, it is so slow-moving and peaceful that it can be paddled in either direction, giving paddlers a chance to take in the beauty of the area while serenely floating along its banks.

Featuring live entertainment every weekend in the marina’s “Backyard,” all summer long, the Wild Duck Marina is the perfect spot to sit a spell and take in the atmosphere of the Texas Hill Country, while getting invigorated for your next Brownwood outing.
