Country music fans of another era will remember the iconic trio of Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Rondstadt (aptly named “Trio”) as the first girl group that got them fired up about country music. Now the Pistol Annie’s are this generation’s answer…with an added, “Hold my beer, and watch this.” Plus, the good news is that after a seven-year hiatus, the group has finally announced they’ve just completed recording their third album!
The Pistol Annies are the powerhouse country girl trio comprised of Miranda Lambert (the Texas songbird in the mix), Angaleena Presley, and Ashley Monroe. With announcements released within the past week on social media with respect to their latest project, fans couldn’t be happier. According to media reports earlier in the year, the singers were just as elated! Monroe told theboot.com that they’ve written some of her favorite songs that she’s ever worked on in her life. The trio reportedly hunkered down at Lambert’s farm to work on the tunes.
