According to recent reports, data use and the consumption of online media has grown exponentially. One such outlet that has capitalized on this is YouTube. Featuring videos showing the latest trends, online tutorials, and sometimes what not to do in life, this media source has entrenched itself in pop culture over the past decade. The Texas population isn’t immune to its attraction. We spend a significant amount of time watching YouTube videos, which has led one company to review the most popular YouTubers by each state.

A report recently released by FrontierBundles.com entitled “Each State’s Most Popular YouTuber,” indicates that the fan-favorite in Texas is 5-Minute Crafts. Featuring what they term as fun “diy-projects, crafts” and more, this site uploads videos that allow viewers to experience “the joy of doing it yourself!” According to FrontierBundles.com, typically, YouTube is streaming close to 5 billion videos each day. That’s an incredible amount of media. This ranges from anything such as the tutorials and “hacks” that can be found on 5-Minute Crafts to things like music videos, children’s lullabies, recipes, home construction tips, and so on.

It appears there’s something for everyone on YouTube, and its free access is obviously no inhibitor. It’s also user-friendly, and the vast expanse of videos in its library is practically unimaginable. In their study, FrontierBundles.com found the most-viewed YouTube channels with the highest number of subscribers by state and even by ZIP code. Some key take-aways from their report were that Bright Side and WWE were the two most popular YouTubers in America. PewDiePie has the most subscribers in the U.S. (at 102 million). The YouTuber with the most video views is Cocomelon Nursery Rhymes. This channel is based in Hawaii, and despite only having 476 videos, they’ve had close to 44 billion views!
