A bright pink 399 square foot tiny home in Port Aransas will soon become a television star! After news-station KRIS 6 highlighted the home, HGTV took notice and contacted designer Julia Shodrok to feature the house on the popular show “Tiny House Hunters.”

A house so packed with personality needs a name, so designer Shodrok dubbed it, “The Pink Flamingo.” Like many tiny home builders, she wanted to create a space that was affordable and convenient while still maintaining style.

The home is small enough to be tax exempt, but still holds a lofted queen-sized bed, huge windows, a full-sized closet, a (small) washer and dryer and some storage space. “The Pink Flamingo” is even on wheels, so it’s classified as a recreational vehicle and can move locations. This trendy beach house is only the first Shodrok has planned for Port Aransas.
