QT Takes Top Spot in Best Texas Gas Station Bathroom List

Quik Trip, also known as QT, gas stations have taken the top spot in GasBuddy’s “Top Rated Restrooms in the United States” list. The gas station chain took first place in Texas along with eight other states like Oklahoma, Georgia, and Arizona, making it the overall winner of the poll.

On their website, GasBuddy explains that they formed their conclusion using reviews and ratings put into their app from March 2016 to April 2017. They also observed that “64 percent of respondents said one of their worst fears about a road trip is the need to use the restroom and not knowing when the next one will be available. Additionally, 69 percent of users said they wouldn’t consider visiting a gas station convenience store with less than 3 out of 5 stars.”

But what about Buc-ee’s? Often thought of as the crème de la crème of public bathrooms, Buc-ee’s porcelain thrones tops the list of many Texans who love to take road trips. It’s probably prevalence that gave QT the edge. As the Houston Business Journal points out, Quik Trip has over 130 locations in the DFW area alone, while Buc-ee’s has 32 locations in the entire state. Please, no one tell the perpetually smiling beaver.
