The Houston Astros are on their road to the pennant as they pummeled the Boston Red Sox with an 8-2 win in game one of the American League Division Series. Leading the way was MVP candidate Jose Altuve hitting three home runs as the crowd goes wild showing he is the stuff legends are made of.

All the while, “Justin Verlander tossed six innings of two-run ball to lead the Astros to a Game 1 win,” shares this YouTube video by the MLB.

Game two is set for Friday, October 6th at Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX. Say what you say, this is baseball at its best with a Texas team charging ahead with their sites set on the World Series.

Watching future Hall of Fame legends make their mark as they battle it out for the ultimate prize. The fans certainly did their part as they brought the noise and were decked out in their orange jerseys rooting for the home team. “Our team was so excited to get out there and ready to compete,” Astros third baseman Alex Bregman said. “The guys showed it today. We had some guys step up today, and it’s going to be a different guy every day. That’s what this team has done all year, different guys stepping up,” shared an article by MLB.

Shaping up to be a great series and only time will tell if Texas will be put on the map as having one of the greatest teams of all time going to the World Series.
