Radio DJs from Amarillo Read People’s Mean Tweets About Their City

No matter where you live, people are always going to have something negative to say about it. The best way to deal is to make light of it, and what better way to do that than reading some mean tweets.

The radio DJs of Kiss FM 96.9 in Amarillo decided to tackle Amarillo animosity head-on in this video that depicts them reading some less than savory tweets about their city.

The common theme? Hating Amarillo over and over and over again. However, this radio team takes some pretty negative messages and instead makes light of the hate, which is the only real way to win. The tone of not taking themselves too seriously reflects as they read the tweets out loud, which makes them that much more funny to hear.

While it’s important to remember that this is all done for the sake of comedy, it is true that each city in Texas has its own unique reputation. It’s those little special treasures in each city that make it an awesome place to visit.

So while all these people’s tweets may dislike Amarillo, it’s still in the Lone Star State. That alone makes it one heck of a town.
