Take one look at Cowboy Tuff Chex, and you’ll know he’s one special bull. This longhorn has beaten out all bulls before him to become “the longest horned bull ever” by the Guinness Book of World Records, according to News on 6. The dark brown and white longhorn’s horns spread a little over eight feet in width! Normally, longhorn cattle have about a six-foot horn length.

The seven-year-old bull is originally from Oklahoma but was recently auctioned off in Forth Worth to Richard and Jeanne Filip of Fayetteville, Texas for $165,000. KXAN reports that the Filips plan on using Cowboy Tuff Chex for breeding purposes on their ranch of over 100 longhorns.

Jeanne Filip said Cowboy will be “the VIP of the ranch,” and she laughingly told News on 6, “We’re going to bubble wrap him when we get him to the ranch. Our guys will know you don’t make Tuff do anything he doesn’t want to do.”

According to Horseshoe B Longhorns, the bull’s horns typically don’t grow past the age of 6, so Cowboy’s horns are probably as long as they will get. Take a look at more photos of Cowboy here on the Loomis Longhorn Ranch website, which was Cowboy’s old Oklahoma home.
