We love wine in the Hill Country, so why not check in with your favorite winery to see if they are getting rid of a wine barrel?

This incredible DIY, posted online at Imgur by kossu, features a wine barrel turned single coffee table with a whiskey storage base. He took apart the barrels, completely scrubbing down each piece of wood to ensure it was sturdy. The halved look of the barrel itself is truly gorgeous in its final state, and you can clearly see the care he placed into the project.

From the tabletop, you can see directly into the case where the user has displayed his whiskey collection. This is a great idea because it combines two things we love: wine and whiskey! Not only is this an awesome feature for guests to notice when they come over, but it also saves space because you would no longer need a whiskey bar.

Even reusing the steel bits of the barrel made for a sturdy structure that looks rustic and modern at the same time, which is a requested feature in interior design today.
