FBI agents arrested Reyes in 2014 when he confessed to the gruesome murders of three Texas Mexican Mafia officers. The victims’ remains, identified as Carlos Chapa, Mark Anthony Bernal, and Johnny Solis, were recovered by law enforcement along a county road near Pearsall that same year. By October of 2015, it was reported by KENS5 that Reyes, an alleged hit man for the gang, had admitted to 16 killings on behalf of the Texas Mexican Mafia, including that of Officer Pesina.
