Rudy’s Bar-B-Que Brisket Candle Is Sold Out
Did you grab a Rudy’s candle in time? Chron.com writes that Texas favorite Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q recently released a candle that smells just like their famous brisket. The idea started as an April Fool’s joke, but when Rudy’s realized that the interest in the candle was real, they decided to make a run of 1,000 candles in time for Christmas.
Since there were only 1,000 made, and plenty of people were willing to fight their hunger every time they smelled the candle, the item quickly sold on Rudy’s website. But if you’re suddenly feeling a hankering to buy a brisket candle, a couple of Etsy sellers have you covered. Seller MacMaddies has a listing for a brisket candle inside of a beer can. “With top notes of hickory follow by smoke and spice then finishing with a cedar aroma, this candle is sure to remind you of those summer nights around the grill,” they write.
And if you want to try a smaller candle, WickHabit has a BBQ Joint candle that “…smells like coffee-rubbed brisket.” As a bonus, they’re located right here in the Lone Star State! WickHabit even has a Texas Forever scent that holds hints of “…leather, grass, tobacco, warm spices.”
