Here’s some odd news you certainly don’t hear every day. Remember the 1993 coming-of-age baseball movie called “The Sandlot“? Well, according to Chron.com, four cast members from the film are going to tour signing autographs, and on January 20, they’ll make an appearance at Baybrook Mall in Friendswood, Texas (outside of Houston).

The store that will host “The Sandlot” kids who are now all grown up is called Fiterman Sports. They posted the news on Facebook and explained that fans of the movie can buy unsigned merchandise at the store, and then have “Ya-Ya, Squints, Tommy & Timmy Timmons” sign their merchandise from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pricing is set at $25 an autograph, $20 for a photo opportunity, $60 for a group photo, and a special of $99 for an autograph from each person and a group photo with the cast.

On Facebook, it looks like many folks are excited about the event by tagging their friends and making plans to attend. But the comments on the Chron.com article are less supportive. “What a joke… they make the ‘Karate Kid’ Ralph Macchio look like a serious movie actor super star,” Bill G wrote. Regardless, it could provide many people with the perfect new Facebook profile photo!
