On Thursday, December 7, Liz Perez Knowles posted a video of her son, Dylan, on Facebook playing his saxophone as snowflakes fell. Luckily, the Clark High School sophomore knew the perfect song to play on a magical evening when nearly two inches of snow floated to the ground in San Antonio. The 30-second clip of Dylan playing “Christmas Time is Here” (from “A Charlie Brown Christmas”) was enough to bring viewers to tears. And even though Dylan is playing his saxophone, one can tell that he seems to be grinning from ear to ear, elated by the snow.

“It was just the sweetest moment for me and some people that had gathered around to watch him as well,” Liz Perez Knowles told KSAT about the special night. “He just jumped right out with his sax and started playing. He said he just felt so inspired and happy and he felt like he probably wouldn’t ever get a chance to play in snow like that again.”

KSAT writes that snowfall in the San Antonio area hasn’t reached that level since 1985, which is why so many viewers are touched by the impromptu performance. On Facebook, the clip has received more than 97,000 views!
