Coming to the Guadalupe River near you… Seguin Tubes! A new tubing outfitter plans to open in the month of March, just in time for spring break. Owner Kris Bolstad is no stranger to the tubing market in Texas, owning and operating Comal Tubes located in New Braunfels. In an interview with mySA.com, he explained that he chose to open Seguin Tubes near the Power Plant Texas Grill after seeing the crowds that gathered at New Braunfels for the same purpose.

2006 Stockdale Highway is the formal address, and if you plan to float the Guadalupe any time soon, they have great reasonable rates for a good time. Bolstad identified prices for tube rentals ranging from fifteen to seventeen dollars, including two floats plus a shuttle ride back. Conversely, if you have your own tube, you can pay $10, take your float, and receive a shuttle ride back to the start.

Early indications for opening day is March 16, and a float is planned to last approximately an hour and twenty minutes. There will be free parking for customers, and float times are subject to weather, so please visit their website often to be sure of hours and operating schedule. The new location is anticipated to provide those coming from Houston the opportunity for a closer option, saving approximately 20 minutes on their drive. The site also plans to incorporate picnic tables, a nearby restaurant, and plenty of parking space. Bolstad further noted, “I want to give Texans a choice. You can go and tube with 100,000 people on a Saturday and Sunday or you could come tube in Seguin with your family and have a really nice, relaxing time.”
