We’ve got big news, Selena fans. If you were looking forward to jumping on board the Selena Tribute Dinner Cruise, which is set to sail out of Kemah, Texas on November 30, 2019, we have some bad news. It’s already sold out! The tribute cruise brought to you by Boardwalk Fantasea Yacht Charters posted their apologies on their website. But not all hope is lost; they just added another date for January 2020.

The Queen of Tejano captivated the hearts of thousands across the globe with her endearing personality and her impressive resume of songs that still grace the airwaves today. Selena won a Grammy for Best Mexican-American Album for “Live” at the 36th Grammy Awards in 1994. The KHOU YouTube video below highlights the dinner cruise, and it looks like die-hard fans couldn’t wait to scoop up the tickets that started at $99.

As an adoring Selena fan myself, this tribute cruise is definitely one I would have signed up for! The dinner buffet is inspired by some of Selena’s favorites such as a Mini Taco Salad, Grilled Skirt Steak with Tequila Sunrise Chimichurri, and for dessert New York Style Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake topped with Strawberry Champagne Glaze. Spending the evening cruising along to your favorite Selena tunes as you take in the views of Clearlake and Galveston Bay sounds like something out of our wildest dreams.

Alas, only the lucky few who jumped on the chance to experience this one-of-kind evening of glitz and glamour will be singing and doing the “bidi, bidi, bom, bom” across the Bay this year. But there is good news! Looks like the website added another Selena Tribute Cruise set for January 25, 2020, and at last check you can still purchase tickets. But don’t wait too long, as these are sure to sell out quickly as well.

According to ABC 7, there will be another Selena-themed cruise in 2020, with this one setting sail out of Los Angeles. It’s called “Dreaming of you 25: The Como la Flor Cruise.” It sets sail September 25 to September 28 from L.A. to Ensenada, Mexico. Selena’s former husband, Chris Perez, is set to perform.

2020 marks the 25th Anniversary of the singer’s death that stunned the world. Since her untimely death, Selena has lived on in the hearts of her fans worldwide as they continue to celebrate her legacy and her music that puts its mark on a generation that continues to pass down its catchy tunes and heartwarming lyrics. This Latina trailblazer sold more albums than any other woman in Latin music history.
