Show Us Your Guns: Open Carry Texas Stalked by Topless Woman at SXSW
When Open Carry Texas president, CJ Grisham, and its members decided to march in a demonstration at SXSW in Austin, they weren’t expecting to be followed by a topless woman and a recent University of Texas graduate with a large dildo strapped to her back. Though these two women had a similar cause, they are completely unrelated. According to The Texas Observer, the topless woman, who remained anonymous for fear of being shot, followed the demonstrators all the while shouting insults at them. However, the dildo wielding UT graduate, Jessica Jin, was much more cordial.
Jessica Jin orchestrated the Campus (Dildo) Carry event on Facebook, which encourages students to protest against UT campus rules to allow concealed handguns on campus by strapping large dildos to their backpacks. “The State of Texas has decided that it is not at all obnoxious to allow deadly concealed weapons in classrooms, however it DOES have strict rules about free sexual expression to protect your innocence. You would receive a citation for taking a DILDO to class before you would get in trouble for taking a gun to class.” states Jin on her Facebook event page.

Jin and Grisham did engage in a peaceful conversation, however. “I had the honor of meeting… founder Jen and things got interesting when we posed with Obama,” Grisham posted on Open Carry Texas’ Facebook page. “We had some very respectful and courteous discussions on spite of our fundamental differences of opinion on campus carry. She’s a wonderful young lady…for a liberal.”
The purpose of the Open Carry Texas demonstration was to hand out educational literature, constitutions, to talk about the new law, and basically to show people there is nothing to fear with the new open carry legislation. Despite the comical displays marching along side of them, the members remained professional and were not deterred from carrying out their original intentions. Grisham did note on a Facebook post that there were no complaints about the open carry demonstration today to Austin Police, however, there were several call complaints in regards to the topless demonstrator.
