Incorporated in 1981, Helotes, Texas has had rapid growth and has kept its small town charm. Floore’s Country store is located in the beautiful Helotes, Texas. Hours of operation are Friday 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. -10 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-9 p.m. This unique café was established in 1946 by John T. Floore and is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. This unique honkytonk café has hosted Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Waylon Jennings and Dwight Yokum, to name a few.
Besides great name entertainer, Floore’s Country Store has great BBQ that will make your mouth water. This is a nice place to just enjoy the quiet country atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon lunch or a great place to catch the big names and two step the evening away.

You will enjoy strolling through Old Town Helotes were you will find many antique shops. Old Town Depot is located at 14392 Old Bandera Road in the Heart of Old Town Helotes. There you can browse and find many collectibles, a variety of antiques, furniture, and gifts.
Old Town Helotes also has many other unique shops to shop for antiques or unique items:
Country Elegance is located at 1439 Old Bandera Road and has unique gifts, hand-made items, as well as country French style furniture.
Simply Yours is located at 14357 Riggs and is known for its knick-knacks and jewelry.
Three Sisters Home is located at 14391 Old Bandera Road and specializes as a boutique specializing in clothing, home décor, and unique find items.

Opened in 2009, you can enjoy the friendly hospitality at the Helotes Creek Winery located at 14327 Old Bandera Road. Inside this winery you will find friendly, helpful staff. This is a small, cozy place that fits in with Old Town Helotes. The winery has approximately 35 different wines for tasting and purchasing. The different wines include: red wines, white wines, fruit wines, port wines, and ice wines.

Like many towns in the area, Helotes offers movies in the park. Grab those blankets, lawn chairs, and snack and take the family to enjoy this unique evening under the Texas stars. Admission is free, and there are lots of fun family activities offered before the movie starts. The movies are held at 12951 Bandera, Road. July’s feature movie is “Goosebumps” (July 15), August’s feature movie is “Minions” (August 19), and September’s featured movie is “Hotel Transylvania” (September 16).
