As snow covered large parts of Lone Star State last week, from the Texas Hill Country to Big Bend and on into southern Texas, many readers took advantage of the wonderful photo opportunities it presented. Pictures from the Davis Mountains through to Central Texas came pouring into the Texas Media Group’s social media channels and we did our best to re-post and share the gorgeous views. Here are just a few of the wonderful, snowy scenes from readers that we managed to share on our Instagram account.

1. Canyon Lake

This gorgeous photo was taken at Canyon Lake. It’s such a peaceful and serene image, and almost so hard to believe it was taken here!

2. Rural Beauty

“Another wonderful shot of last night’s snow,” was the caption for this picture. Even the fence line was nicely decorated with the soft, white powder and bits of ice!

3. Schertz

Taken in Schertz, Texas, this is just a lovely snow-covered scene of this horse looking at the photographer as if to say, “What on earth is happening around here? Whatever it is, it brings out the color in my coat nicely! Don’t you think?”

4. Bulverde

Captioned, “Snow this evening in Bulverde!” this picture is the perfect Christmas scene right here in the Hill Country before the holidays! What a wonderful way to celebrate an amazing snowfall and the beauty of it all.

5. The State Flag

Of course, the snow-covered trees provide the perfect backdrop for making our very own state flag stand out. It’s absolutely stunning in this picture, as usual!
