There are lots of ways to get ready ahead of time and ensure the best experience possible. Park visitors must be 7-years-old or older, but beyond that, all ages are welcome to try their hand at the obstacles, from the young to the young-at-heart! Get excited for over 600 feet (that’s over 2 football fields!) of exhilarating obstacles to conquer like the 14-foot tall Ice Tower XXL, a floating trampoline that’s 25 feet wide, bouncy monkey bars with slide, and the Springboard Jumping Tower which has all the makings for a fantastic splash. Plus, have a blast on the bridges, balance beams, and a 12-foot tall Free Fall Slide of pure fun. There are over 21 features that will test dexterity and skill set, all while you enjoy the company of family, friends, and community. Before the fun begins, remember to pack towels and plenty of sunscreen! Take note, participants in Waterloo Adventures must be at least 7-years-old and 45” tall.

Reservations are required, and booking is super easy. First, reserve an hour time slot for your obstacle course session a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Next, ensure a quick check-in by filling out the digital waiver ahead of arrival, then come one hour prior to your chosen time slot, and finally, enjoy the lake like you own it! During the summer, Waterloo Adventures is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, up through Labor Day Weekend. Planning something for the fall? Fall and spring hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the weekends. It’s easy to check availability in real-time via the website’s Book Reservations button.

Get a waterproof pouch and floater ball for your phone. You’re definitely going to take a ton of pictures! Be sure to bring credit cards, as they are the only accepted tender at Adventure Island. Anticipate being surprised when the day is over. Waterloo Adventures is so much fun, time quite literally flies here.

While there, transport to Adventure Island is handled for you! Relaxation begins immediately as you enjoy a scenic boat ride. Take in the geological treat for the eyes, as the incredible Hill Country frames the 1,500 feet of shoreline. You’ll see the importance of safety here from the presence of the actively-watching lifeguards and by donning a provided life vest.

Take advantage of all the resort-style, inclusive amenities of Adventure Island such as lakefront umbrellas, chaise loungers, hammocks, floating picnic tables, saddle floats, beach games, drink coolers, lockers, and more! For sustenance, there’s an on-site food truck, plus frozen drinks, beer, and a Cabana Bar. Pro tip: water shoes and aqua socks are allowed and provide extra traction on the obstacles. Talk about a leg up on the competition! Use your allotted 45 minutes on the obstacle course wisely, then experience all-day activity on four super fun, stand-alone inflated marvels.
