Have a blast at this year’s Old Settlers Reunion in Floydada. Come gather around the Square in Floydada on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Floyd County Pioneer Association has put together the perfect day for the whole family. This is a grand West Texas party you don’t want to miss!

At 10:15 a.m. under the pavilion, the Pioneer Association will host its annual meeting. Awards will be given to Pioneer Women and Couple of the Year. Come back to the pavilion at 1:00 p.m. as the Pioneers celebrate the oldest man and woman present and the person traveling the farthest to attend.

Check out the live auction under the pavilion at 1:15 p.m. and bid on a unique item.

Food vendors will offer a variety of delicious meals and snacks.

Quilt, bonnet, apron, and flowers shows will take place in the newly-renovated Barrow Building, with cash prizes for winners.

The museum and genealogy center will open its doors to visitors all day. The famous rope-maker will be present from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Cowboy Quick Draw will return to the Square from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the old Oden’s showroom.

The parade is on! This year, the first 150 parade participants will receive special $10 vouchers to be used at any 2022 Old Settlers vendor. And don’t forget the hundreds of dollars in parade prize money! The parade takes place at 2:30 p.m.

New additions this year include 11:00 a.m. bicycle races on the corner of Main and Missouri. Push toy races for the one year olds, stick horses for up to three years old, three wheelers for the “wee threes,” and bikes and trikes for kids preschool to 6th grade (training wheels are okay). No fee. Prizes awarded to first three places in each division.

Other new additions include a bouncy house, a 4-N-1 interactive sports game, and boot-camp-style obstacle course. Tickets sales for the kids’ area go toward the Floydada Animal Shelter and the Floyd County Pioneer Association.

Behind the courthouse, the sheriff’s department will host “human hamster ball” competitions.

For the first time, there will be a beer garden at the event. Visitors can cool off with an ice-cold beer.

Old Settlers Reunion will take place in Floydada on the courthouse square, Saturday May 28th, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
