Star of Texas Winery to Open in April: Better ‘Early’ (Texas) Than Never
In an interview with Brownwood Bulletin, Brian explained, “Our goal is to build a winery here, right next to us,” and their property is quickly setting the cornerstone for their dream’s foundation. The Star of Texas tasting room, at 1,600 square feet, is expected to be completed quickly and may one day become a venue with the potential to host live music and events. The couples’ interior design concepts focus on authenticity and quality through a combination of wood and industrial products for the serving counter, a barrel rack wine display, and barn board for finishes. And it should be noted that all of the materials used in their buildout have been reclaimed/repurposed from outbuildings that were already on the property, including a small barn, animal pen and wood shed. In total, they removed thousands of nails from the lumber and reused 1,200 square feet of sheet metal!
