We’ve mentioned the shopping that the town of Wimberley is chock full of. You’ll find unique shops featuring various arts and wares, and the first Saturday of every month from March through December, the town holds Market Days, which bring out some amazing vendors and sales fare. There’s also a great Hill Country-style furniture shop for fine home pieces you might be in the market for and an outdoor movie theatre (The Corral Theatre) that shows first-run movies Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, Memorial Day through Labor Day. And if you fancy yourself more of an aesthete, the EmilyAnn Theatre (featuring the Wimberley Players) hosts theatrical events throughout the year. Wimberley is also home to various art galleries, an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts and a number of winery, rum, and craft beer businesses – all of which offer tastings and tours. Add to this the opportunity to visit a lavender farm, or take advantage of your joy in the great outdoors (hiking, swimming, and fishing) and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a success visit to Wimberley, in the Texas Hill Country!
