Click2Houston.com reports that in the Vineyard Meadows neighborhood off Clay Road and Lakes of Bridgewater, a trio of stray dogs reached under a barely open garage door to grab an English bulldog out. They proceeded to pull the small dog along the driveway while attacking it.

The family’s 11-year-old son saw the commotion happening outside of his bedroom window, so he called to his dad who chased the dogs away with a rake. Thankfully, the brave little bulldog was then able to free itself, but not without some disturbing injuries.

There is no word on who the pack of large dogs belongs to or if they are homeless strays. The bulldog’s owner told the news she wants everyone to be careful. “You don’t see them during the day. I never saw them before roaming around. They’re vicious, they were trying to kill my dog,” she said.

If your dog is attacked, PawsperousPets.com has a few tips. They advise that owners do not pick up their dog as it can cause the vicious dogs to jump at the owner attempt to continue attacking the dog. Get the names and phone numbers of anyone who saw the attack, make note of what the attacking dogs did and what they looked like, then carefully check over your pet and take them to the vet. Soothe your pet and only give gentle touches.
