In the heart of downtown Fort Worth sits the destination of Sundance Square Plaza – home to brand name and boutique shopping, restaurants serving some of Texas’ finest food fare, cultural and entertainment events (scheduled) and a home-away-from-home for weary travelers. In 2013, the city of Fort Worth unveiled a more than $110 million makeover to the historic square, complete with live music, artisans, trick ropers and living statues, and things at the site haven’t slowed down since!

Sundance Square Plaza is a one-acre section of Fort Worth surrounded by office complexes and retail shopping, but it also features as a hub for meeting family and friends, or to simply enjoy some alone time in the heart of the city. Night spots and art galleries dot the more than 20 shopping experiences available throughout, making it one of the finer downtown entertainment districts in America’s Southwest. And for those of you that are Texas sports fans, the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop and the Texas Rangers Team Shop are both located on-site.

Its decorative features include four 32-foot umbrellas which contain color-changing LED lights, a series of jetted fountains (which both kids and adults have been known to run through in the hot Texas sun!) and a permanent stage for outdoor movies as well as music. On any given day, visitors may find a band they love to listen to, a yoga class in progress, or a number of people catching an outdoor show. It’s also been the backdrop for some major events such as ESPN’s broadcast headquarters for coverage of the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2014, ESPN College GameDay LIVE in 2015, and the Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival. With its red-bricked streets, charming courtyards, and lush landscaping, Sundance Square Plaza in Fort Worth is an expanse of a Texas experience you can truly appreciate.
