Dallas News writes that Target plans to open 130 small concept stores by the end of 2019 in areas where the usual size of the megastore simply wouldn’t fit. At this time, they have already opened up 59 small stores that “range in size from a 19,600-square-foot store near the University of Cincinnati to 50,000-square-foot stores in East Palo Alto and Phoenix.”

Now, WFAA writes that DFW residents will be welcoming a small concept store of their own in the Preston Center Pavilion in July. The store will employ 75 people and have items that are specifically chosen for the community’s needs. Dallas News writes, “Groceries will be focused on fresh produce and grab-and-go items, snacks and meal solutions. The store will stock smaller selections of home décor, beauty, apparel and accessories, some consumer electronics, toys and sporting goods.”

A pickup area for online purchases will also be available. Basically, customers can shop online and then stop by and grab the items they need that have already been collected by employees. Imagine only popping into Target for a few minutes!

If you’re curious to see inside one of the smaller Target stores, check out this video from ABC15 Arizona of a location that opened this summer in Phoenix (though keep in mind, this is an example of one of the larger concept stores).
