Teacher Wears Stunning Dress Made of Her Students’ Artwork

By  |

ShaRee Castlebury is a first-grade teacher from Oklahoma who loves her students so much, she turned their artwork in a beautiful dress!

In Lawton, Oklahoma, Mrs. Castlebury became the talk of the town after wearing a dress made from her students’ drawings and paintings that she custom-designed for the last day of school. She brought in a plain white frock and let her students creatively take over the design.

The final result is truly a sight to be seen as it incorporates the personality of each first-grader in her class. She had originally thought of creating a quilt to remember her class, but decided, according to Little Things, to go with a dress because she doesn’t know how to sew.

Mrs. Castlebury wore the outfit on the last day of school and plans to continue this tradition with each class. She even hopes to wear it at important events in her student’s academic career, such as 5th-grade graduation and the like.

The world needs more people like ShaRee Castlebury!
