The city of San Antonio has often been referred to as the “Capital of Tejano Music.” And rightfully so. Setting the stage for over 200 groups and singers (not to mention their throngs of fans) to gather at Market Square, this Texas Hill Country city is rolling out the red carpet for the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair, which is taking place next month.

The annual Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair will be held from March 14 to March 17, filling downtown San Antonio with music and dancing in a celebration unlike any other! More than 200 bands and performers are anticipated to converge at Market Square for the “biggest Tejano weekend” Texas will see. With five stages and a schedule that is jam-packed with beloved names from the genre that found its beginnings in Texas, this four-day event will bring the big stars to downtown San Antonio like never before. There are artist meet-and-greets, tons of celebrating, food and drink, and entry is free!

Now in its 39th year, the Tejano Music Awards did a tribute to singing sensation Selena at the 2015 awards. Long considered the Queen of the Tejano genre, this tribute video, which has been viewed by more than 70K on the ComoLaFlorNET YouTube channel, was also shared on the official YouTube channel for the awards. Every year, fans gather to honor those who have blazed the trail or followed in their footsteps in Tejano music greatness at the free fan fair event held in the Texas Hill Country. This year’s lineup includes such names as the Jimmy Gonzalez Band, Isabel Marie, and Los Desperadoz, among others. The full lineup can be found at the Tejano Music Awards web link available here, including set times, stage location, and dates. Those interested in following the event on social media for updates and more information can find them here, on Facebook.
