One of the largest open-air holiday markets in the Southwest, Texas Christkindl Market, presented by Comerica Bank, opens on November 29, 2019. Next to Texas Live! at Globe Life Field in Arlington, the free market is inspired by German tradition. Unique shopping for holiday gifts for everyone in the family, decorations, and one-of-a-kind finds are featured.
Traditional handcrafted gifts and collectibles from Germany, like exclusive KätheWohlfahrt merchandise, are available. Also designs from Rothenburg ob der Tauber Christmas Village. Shoppers can also find nutcrackers, cuckoo clocks, and more. Many vendors will demonstrate how their handicrafts are made, and shoppers can buy directly at their huts.
Enjoy German treats and eats, plus festive music and entertainment all through the Market. St. Nikolaus is available for that important annual photo and to hear children’s gift requests. Skaters are welcome to try the 5,000 square foot ice rink that stays open through January 12, 2020.

Welcome the beautiful Christkindl Angel at Opening Ceremonies and tree lighting on November 29. The angelic namesake of the event, the Christkind, shares German holiday traditions and stories. Special guests join the Angel as she lights the live 30-foot Concolor Fir Christkindl Tree. The tree is presented by Viridian DFW by Johnson Development.
Find a cozy place to eat gingerbread or just relax in comfort in the Warming Haus. There you can warm up with seasonal beverages including beer, Kinderpunsch, and traditional German spiced wine, Glühwein. Beverages are served in custom-collectible mugs while supplies last. Aromas of roasting nuts and freshly made strudel fill the air, inviting guests to stroll from hut to hut to enjoy authentic flavors of a Christkindl market.

Children are invited to write a letter to St. Nikolaus at Kinder Club online at this link. Letters dropped into a specially marked mailbox at the Warming Haus receive a personal response from St. Nikolaus himself. He gets a little help from the Texas Rangers Women’s Club! Every child is invited to meet St. Nikolaus and share their special requests. Photo packages are available starting at $19.95.
Local school choirs and dance groups, along with authentic Texas-German performing groups bring the holidays to life with live entertainment. Get in the holiday spirit with special performances from the Texas Boys Choir and other favorite holiday groups.
