This Austin Dog Has the Funniest Scream You’ve Ever Heard

A month after adopting Poppy from Austin Pets Alive!, the Tullys noticed their dog had a very loud and enthusiastic way of responding to the idea of going for a walk. In fact, Poppy would scream at the top of her lungs in a combination of joy and manic desire to take a stroll.

Poppy’s owners told KVUE that the pooch initially caught their eye because she “looked like a poorly designed stuffed animal.” With a mix of a chihuahua and a pug, Poppy certainly does have a cuddly and unique look.

A year after adopting her, a friend told them they needed to help Poppy achieve her destiny of becoming an internet sensation. There are several videos featuring Poppy’s signature yell on YouTube. One favorite features Poppy turning her head back and forth with ears perked, waiting for the word “walk” to active her screaming superpower. However, this Instagram post in particular is what pushed Poppy further into the spotlight.

Maybe it’s the stylishly slouchy sweater, maybe it’s the matching dog bed or maybe its those eager eyes. Whatever it is, Poppy knows how to set the scene to capture an audience.
