Hye Meadow Winery in Hye, Texas is one which you’ll want to see for yourself. It’s a family-owned winery situated on 62 acres which are covered in oaks and nicely nestled between Johnson City and Fredericksburg along what is often referred to as Wine Road 290. Their tasting room is open six days out of the week, and a tasting consists of five of their wines. They also have some very unique products you’ll definitely want to put to your lips! Their 2015 Trebbiano is a great selection, together with the 2016 Viognier and the 2015 Chica (described as, “Spicy sweet notes of peach and Myer lemon lead way to a soft acid palate cleanser and a full, ripe fruit finish.”) It’s clear that they take immense pride in their product, which you can purchase on-site or order online.
