The Texas Hill Country is one of the reasons the Lone Star State is in the number five spot for wine production in America. This region, specifically, is the second largest American Viticultural Area in the entire U.S., boasting more than 40 unique tasting rooms, vineyards, and wineries, each having its own personality, winemaking style, and piece of the Texas terroir.

Although known for Italian and Spanish varietals of grapes such as Viognier, Tempranillo, Tannat, and Sangiovese, winemakers are constantly working to develop a locally-grown product that is unique to their business, unique to the Hill Country, and most definitely unique to Texas as a whole. Couple that with the amazingly scenic views you can find in the area, and you’re well on your way to a wine experience that’s second-to-none.

Fiesta Vineyard & Winery at Bend, Texas is one you’ll want to visit for enjoyable homestead-style touches. They seem to put their entire being or essence as an operation into their wine offerings and welcoming atmosphere. They make it easy for visitors to experience a tasting and have made a number of their offerings available for sampling as you sit out on their covered patio, take in the scenic vistas, and generally relax. Of particular interest is their Heart of Texas Red 2015 and their Side Saddle (dry white blend), not to mention their Southern Sparkle, which is a sweet, sparkling blush wine that could easily go well with holiday dinners!

They take pride in the craftsmanship of their wines and welcome visitors to experience a stellar pairing with a picnic lunch which you can pack and bring along yourself. Of course, there are other ways to experience their wine; you can have it shipped straight to your door, or you can find their product at a local retailer. Either way, they’re one of the wineries in the Texas Hill Country bringing you great tasting experiences!
