Texas Man Returns Home As Part of ‘Price is Right’ History
Manfred Zimmer from Copperas Cove, Texas recently made “Price is Right” history when he and two other contestants spun the wheel and all three of them got $1. This has never happened in the history of the show through 45 seasons!
He was still grinning from ear-to-ear while telling KWTX about his numerous wins on the Los Angeles-based “Price is Right.” He won the showcase showdown, received a car, a hug from Drew Carry, $1000 for landing the $1, and a place in “Price is Right” history. Next, Zimmer and his family are going to try their luck at “Let’s Make a Deal” since he feels like he’s on a roll.
The clip below shows the incredible happening at the famous wheel. “Let’s have a three-way tie on the dollar,” Drew Carry optimistically said when the third contestant started spinning, though he knew the odds of it happening were very low. Everyone was shocked when it actually took place!
As Entertainment Weekly points out, it’s particularly crazy that all three of the contestants landed at $1 only after spinning the wheel twice. None of the three winners spun and got the red glittery symbol in one turn, making it even more suspenseful.
