Ruth Mochire, 43, was born in Kenya, but she now resides in Baytown, Texas. As a mother of five children, she wasn’t planning on having any more kids, but fate had different plans for the Mochire family. Click2Houston.com writes that after spending a month in Kenya, Mochire went to the doctor for a medical checkup. It was then she found out she was pregnant.

Thinking that there might have been a mistake, 12 News Now reports that Mochire went to another doctor. That’s when she found out that not only was she definitely pregnant, but she had quadruplets on the way!

Since the Mochires recently lost their home in the Harvey floods, they’ve been living in a much smaller space, so the news left them with mixed feelings. Also, Ruth was let go from her job since she worked in a refinery and they don’t allow pregnant women to work there due to the chemicals. The Mochires also found out the difficult emotional news that they will need to leave their babies in NICU for a month after their birth.

But thankfully, the Mochires are receiving support from their church, their strong faith, and a new GoFundMe campaign. Ruth maintained a smile throughout her interview with the news. Despite the adversities, she’s happy to see what happens in the future with the quadruplets. “With God it’s possible and I believe when God gives you something and allows you to get in a certain situation, he already prepares a way. If you cling on to him, you will get out successful,” she said.
