Planning to hold the “World’s Largest” Daytona 500 Watching Party, the Texas Motor Speedway is welcoming NASCAR racing fans to its highly successful event ushering in the 2018 racing weekend for the popular format. Their 2017 event was so successful (attracting more than 300 RVs, and over 3,000 campers and tailgaters) that they aim to make this year’s even bigger and better.
Last year’s Texas Motor Speedway Daytona Watching Party took place on the world’s largest TV, AKA “Big Hoss,” and this year, Hoss will be raring to go once again. With good weather conditions, the venue is aiming to break their attendance numbers, opening the infield for February 17-18, where NASCAR fans can camp or tailgate free-of-charge while enjoying some racing action from Daytona Beach, Florida. Their 12-story tall, high-definition TV will be situated on the track’s backstretch.

This will also allow for tailgaters who are interested in viewing the season-opener to the XFINITY racing series, which takes place at 1:30 p.m. (Central). This much-anticipated racing weekend will conclude with the 60th running of “The Great American Race”, otherwise known as the Daytona 500, happening on Sunday, February 18, at 1:30 p.m. Visitors are also allowed to bring their own food and beverages to the infield.
