On September 27, Texas Roadhouse Donates All Profits to Hurricane Relief
On their website, the Texas Roadhouse franchise writes that they are a “…family restaurant. And, we believe our family is every member of every community that has a Texas Roadhouse.” Now, the company is taking that sentiment and applying to it victims of Harvey and Irma’s wrath. According to KSAT, Texas Roadhouse will donate all of their profits on September 27 to the American Red Cross.
This means that over 500 locations throughout the United States will be giving away their profits made from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Though the funds are meant to go to those who were impacted negatively by the two huge storms, not all customers are happy with the decision to give the money to the Red Cross. Recently, the Red Cross has been at the center of a controversy that erupted when people who needed help said they were not receiving it. On the Texas Roadhouse Facebook page, several customers have commented saying they should have chosen a different organization.
According to NBC DFW, the Red Cross recently announced that they “…will help impacted families across 39 counties by offering $400 in emergency relief to thousands of families. Qualified applicants will be eligible for the money to support emergency needs…” beginning this week.
