Home to the Space Center (where the kids can meet an astronaut, visit Mission Control, and see real space gear), Houston is also the setting for the Downtown Aquarium which doubles as an amusement park. There’s also the opportunity to visit The Houston Museum of Natural Science, which includes a butterfly center located within a simulated rain forest (a must-see for everyone).
2. Marfa

A Big Bend National Park adventure alone can include horseback riding, hiking, bird watching, rafting, and camping. In the evenings, you’ll want to keep a lookout for the infamous Marfa lights. And, if camping isn’t your cup of tea, Marfa is home to some fantastic boutique hotel rooms which are also quite luxurious!
