Texas has it all — forests, hills, deserts and beaches. There’s certainly no shortage of stunning sceneries to take in throughout the state. This makes it the ideal state for a nice, long scenic drive. Texas Country Reporter put out a poll asking residents to vote for the best scenic drives in Texas. The results are in!

The third place spot goes to Bandera Pass. The pass is a natural break in the mountains and was used by settlers and Native Americans for travel for centuries. Of course, there’s now a paved road that gives people the perfect view of the surrounding Hill Country.

Coming in at second place is Marble Falls to Inks Lake State Park. The stretch of road passes through Longhorn Caverns State Park on Park Road 4 and ends at Inks Lake State Park. With plenty of caves, hiking trails and scenic overlooks along the way, this scenic drive is one of the most picturesque in Texas.

The number one favorite scenic drive, as voted by Texas residents, is Llano to Enchanted Rock. Another Hill Country drive, it takes you through central Texas, starting on State Highway 16 and ending at Enchanted Rock. Enchanted Rock is a granite monolith with some of the most beautiful natural surroundings you’ll ever see.

So, there you have it – three of the many stunning scenic drives in the great state of Texas.
