This Little Boy Lost His Father, So Two Builders Crafted This Surprise for Him

Zach, four years old, experienced a great loss recently, so two builders decided to give him the playhouse makeover of every little boy’s dreams.

As his father passed away from cancer recently, Zach’s mother Marie was looking for a way to brighten Zach’s spirits and bring some positivity into his life. His father, before passing, turned an old shed into a playhouse for Zach, but after becoming sick, the playhouse started to fall apart. Rusted and old, it still was Zach’s sanctuary.

His mother contacted two builders, Adam and Jason, of Better Homes and Gardens to surprise Zach with a playhouse makeover. This build caused both Adam and Jason to reflect on their own children and their roles as dads, channeling their love into one incredible renovation.

While it may not bring this little boy’s dad back, their work to revamp this playhouse has brought a bright spot to Zach’s life and created a safer place for him to play with a new slide, an obstacle course, and even new grass.
