This Mom’s Handwritten Notes to Her Daughter Are Inspiring the World
When Amelie Clarke sits down to lunch every day, she can count on handwritten notes of encouragement from her mom, and the entire world is reading them, too.
Julia Clarke, a mom in Tampa, Florida, is changing the way her daughter sees herself and the world one handwritten note at a time, each more positive than the last. Amelie Clarke knows she is lucky and loves showing off the beautiful notes that Julia writes the day before. “They’re handmade by my mom,” Amelie told WTSP when asked about her surprise.
In an interview with the news station, Julia noted that she came from a family of four children, three boys and herself. She wanted to make her daughter feel loved every second of the day, even when she is at school, so she started writing these notes to hide in her daughter’s lunch. The word traveled quickly around Amelie’s school and soon, everyone was reading the sweet notes.
Inspired by the response, Julia created an Instagram account, aptly found at amelieslunchnotes, where she posts the images of the day’s note. Her account has gained popularity and she receives messages of gratitude daily for putting such a positive message out into the world. Users as far away as Germany have reached out to the mom who just wants to make her daughter feel special.
