“It was right here. I know exactly where I put it,” New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady told security staff at NFG Stadium after the Super Bowl this past Sunday. Brady was named Super Bowl MVP, so his jersey is very coveted. He’s afraid someone snagged it and will sell it.

KHOU says that backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and other players searched around the locker room, but it never turned up. Brady was upset but humble about the missing piece of memorabilia that belongs somewhere it can be revered. He told ABC News, “Those are pretty special ones to keep … What can you do? I’ll take the ring, and that’s good enough for me.”

Now, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has asked the Texas Rangers to join in the case of the missing jersey. ABC News reports that Patrick said, “The unquestionable success of the Super Bowl in Houston last night was a big win for our entire state, and I don’t want anything to mar that victory. Whoever took this jersey should turn it in. The Texas Rangers are on the trail.”

Brady says if the jersey shows up on eBay to let him know! Fans of the successful Houston Super Bowl and the New England Patriots will certainly be on the lookout.
