Texas Country Reporter held a viewer’s poll to find the best pie in Texas, and here are the top three selections made by their viewers. Coming in third is the Koffee Kup in Hico, Texas. The family restaurant and roadside cafe makes its pies fresh every day. The best part? Each pie is served with a fluffy pile of meringue.

In the second spot is a place near and dear to the heart of the Hill Country, Blue Bonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. The pie happy hour, where pie and a drink are only $3 on the weekdays, definitely helped this cafe leap forward in the poll. Their pie portions are generous, too, and not to mention delicious.

The winner of the best pie in Texas is Pie Peddlers in Glen Rose. This dedicated pie shop makes its meringue, cream, and fruit pies from small batches daily, making it the freshest option in town. The shop is run by former schoolteachers who decided to serve their students pie instead of math equations. Not a bad trade.
