Transform a Quirky Old Bicycle into a DIY Sideboard
They just don’t make bicycles like they used to. With beautiful colors and a simple design, this bicycle was just waiting to be upcycled into something incredible.
By taking off the handlebars and seat, attaching a rustic room divider (which could be replaced with wood planks secured together), and reattaching the handlebars, the sideboard is born.
Whether you call it a sideboard, a buffet, or a credenza, there’s no denying that this DIY project certainly has a rustic feel. By using a brightly-colored 1950s bicycle, Hometalk user Brantley Ashlee in Justin, Texas, created a beautiful spot on her wall that holds the pieces that tie a room together.
Add a coat of paint, and you have one special spot for photographs, knick-knacks, and a lamp that bring the style of the room together in a peaceful and interesting way.
