Victim in London Attack Was Once a Waco Resident
In the recent attack in London in which a man drove through a crowd of people along the Westminster Bridge, former Waco resident Kurt Cochran was killed. WFAA says that it is most likely that he was the first person to pass away from the senseless and angry act of violence.
Cochran lived in Waco for many years and went to high school there before moving to Utah with his wife. The pair were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Europe, and London was their last stop before returning home to the United States. They were visiting his wife’s family in London when the attack took place and had plans to return home the next day.
Cochran’s sister-in-law, Shantell Payne, posted a precious photo of the happy couple along with the terrible news. “This pain is so heart wrenching and raw it has rocked our family and all that knew him to its core. We will miss Kurt beyond words. We love you, Kurt,” she wrote.
His wife, Melissa, should make a full recovery though she sustained a broken leg and rib.
