Terrifying Dashcam Video Catches Plane Crash and Fireball on Film
Imagine a small plane suddenly plummeting into view, grazing a power line and then hitting a traffic light emitting a massive fireball before crashing out of sight. This incident took place in Mukilteo, Washington near Seattle, and shockingly, no one was seriously injured.
According to Gizmodo, the dashcam video of a Piper PA32 plane falling from the sky shortly after takeoff from Paine Field airport was caught by driver Simon Li’s camera on Tuesday afternoon. At the time, Li couldn’t have guessed that both the passenger and the pilot of the small aircraft that experienced engine failure were able to walk out of the wreckage.
The pilot crash landed on Harbour Pointe Boulevard, which was free of traffic. AOL writes that several vehicles were damaged and burned, but somehow, it seems that everyone was alright. “I’m so lucky. I just said, ‘Get down!’ And before I know it, I could feel the heat on my face… and like the fireball and the wing clipped at the end,” witness Amanda Hayes said.
Nine thousand locals lost power from the plane hitting the power lines, but after reviewing the footage, it’s amazing that vehicles and power lines were the only casualties.
