The Highland Lakes is a chain of some of the best lakes in Texas — Lake Buchanan, Inks Lake, Lake LBJ, Lake Marble Falls, Lake Travis, Lake Austin, and Lady Bird Lake. Beautiful scenery,  clear water, good fishing, restaurants, party coves, resorts, golf courses, and more await visitors in this watery oasis. Take the following activities for example.

1. Escape the mundane of everyday life in Highland Lakes…literally.

“Escape Haus is a live-action Escape the Room Game located in New Braunfels, Texas. You and your friends, or some awesome strangers, will be placed in a room and given 60 minutes to find the clues and solve the puzzles that will allow you to escape. To accomplish this, you will need to use observation, communication, and critical thinking skills. When the countdown starts, you will find yourself transported to a place where your inner Sherlock can awaken,” according to their website.

2. Go spelunking at Longhorn Caverns.
